1. Presentation of the service
Bye404.org is a website that offers an online tool to test for 404 errors on a website's pages and images, accessible from the website www.bye404.org and within dedicated spaces on social networks.
2. Rights to the service
The Service is the exclusive property of www.bye404.org. Bye404.org grants you a free, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and use the service, any other right being expressly excluded without our agreement.
In accordance with Internet practices and usage, advertising may be inserted within the service.
3. Availability of the service
www.bye404.org is accessible 24/7, except for interruptions, scheduled or not, for maintenance purposes or in cases of force majeure. www.bye404.org cannot, however, be held liable for damages, whatever their nature, resulting from unavailability of the service.
4. Acceptable use of the scanning tool
Running a scan generates real traffic on the website being tested. The service is intended for checking sites you own or maintain, or sites you have a legitimate reason to evaluate. Using it to place repeated load on a third party server, or to probe addresses that are not publicly reachable, is not permitted. Each visitor is limited to 20 scans per 24 hours so that the service remains available to everyone and considerate towards the sites it tests.
The crawler requests only public http and https addresses. Private, local and reserved network addresses are refused.
5. Results and liability
Scan results are provided for information purposes. A crawler reaches only the pages your site links to, and a server may answer an automated request differently from a browser, so a report is an aid to maintenance rather than an exhaustive audit. www.bye404.org cannot be held liable for decisions taken on the basis of a report, nor for the consequences of changes made to a website following a scan.
6. Personal data
Consulting the service does not give rise to any processing of personal data except for advertising purposes. In addition, if you wish to receive the www.bye404.org newsletter, you will need to provide us with a valid email address. You have the right to access, modify and delete your data and contributions collected through the use of the service. You can exercise these rights, and in particular unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, by sending us an email to the following address: contact@1avance.com. Your email address will be stored on the servers of www.bye404.org and kept for the duration of your subscription to the Bye404.org newsletter.
The state of a scan in progress is held only for the duration of that scan and is deleted when it ends. Scan results are not stored after they are displayed.
